MUSC 283 – Music Technology: Foundations of Audio Recording and Production

Introduction to the basic theory, practice, and procedures involved in recording and producing music in the modern digital audio production suite. Principles of sound, acoustics, and the fundamentals of DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) software and hardware (microphones and mixing consoles).

 

 

THEA 291Q Digital Art & 2D Animation

This course explores digital art and 2D animation. Students will learn the basics of digital painting and drawing, including color theory and brush techniques, as well as principles of 2D animation such as keyframe animation, timing, and spacing. They will utilize tools such as ProcreateProcreate Dreams, and Adobe After Effects. Additionally, students will explore character design, storytelling, and world-building. The course encourages creativity and experimentation. By the end of the course, students will have a strong understanding of digital art tools and the ability to create illustrations, animations, and short films. iPads, pencils, and licensed apps are provided.
